Wells Farms is a first generation, small, family farm with farm locations just outside Madison, Wisconsin. Locally owned and operated by Kenny and Sarah Wells and daughters. We raise primarily Angus and Angus-Cross bred cattle. Our cattle are raised on our grass pastures and their mother's milk for approximately the first seven months of life. After weaning the calves are transitioned to a higher percentage grain diet. For the last four to five months prior to harvest, our cattle are fed a diet consisting of corn, soybean meal and a vitamin/mineral mix designed to balance their nutritional requirements along with being fed high-quality hay. This high energy ration helps to ensure the development of marbling, which gives you a flavorful cut of beef.
