Meet Your Farmers
Thank you for visiting Wells Farms. Owning and operating our farm is more than a business, it is a way of life. This way of life is not something everyone chooses or gets to experience, so we are glad you are here to get to know us, our farm and where your food is coming from. We believe knowing us, your farmers and where your food comes is more important than the newest buzzwords you will find on your food labels.
Being involved in agriculture all our lives, we knew when we got married in 2008 that it wasn't a matter of IF we would have livestock, but WHEN. We purchased our first beef cow not long after we got married and continued to grow and expand our herd from there. Our story began when we met at The Ohio State University. When we got married we found ourselves living in Jackson, Ohio. Our family grew in addition to our herd, as we added 2 little farmer girls to the family. In 2014, new job opportunities took us to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Shortly after the relocation to Wisconsin, we moved our herd here with us. We purchased our first 50 acres of farm pasture in Sun Prairie in 2016. We launched Wells Farms Beef retail beef sales in 2017. In summer 2018 we made a big investment in our business and our future and purchased a farm property in Rio, Wisconsin where we are now currently residing with our farmer girls and lots of happy cows, a dog, and several barn kitties. We are happy to have you join us on this journey with us!
