We have teamed up with The Oilerie in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin to present some workshops through this coming year. This month we kicked off the series of classes with a workshop on Meal Planning. Meal planning is something I have been working at for years. I don't believe it is a perfect science because as your life and family go through different seasons, your meal planning changes and adapts to those seasons as well. I have tried many different methods and evolved my practice of meal planning through the years. One thing I know for sure is that doing something is better than doing nothing! And I have discovered that I can save so much time, cost, and food waste by taking a little time on the front end to plan.
So in conjunction with the meal planning workshop, we held in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, I had the opportunity to share our farm story with the attendees as well as a tasty little sample of our premium beef. Just for this class, I developed a recipe for Italian Meatballs that utilize some of the quality ingredients that The Oilerie has to offer.
The great thing about this recipe is that it is so versitlie. It can be served a variety of different ways and even made in bulk so you can store the fully cooked version in the freezer to just pull out for a super quick dinner.
