Blue Cheese Crusted NY Strip Steak
Blue Cheese Crust:
3 Tbsp Butter, soft
1/4 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1/3 cup Blue Cheese
1/4 tsp Garlic, finely chopped
1 1/2 Tbsp Parsley, chopped
2 Wells Farms NY Strip Steaks, thawed
Mix all ingredients together and set aside.
Right before cooking season the steaks with salt and pepper. Heat a cast iron skillet until sizzling. Add 2 Tbsp butter until melted. Add the seasoned steaks to hot skillet. Sear until a nice crust forms on both sides. Remove the pan from the heat.
Turn on oven broiler.
Top the steaks with the blue cheese butter. Add the skillet to the oven to broil. Closely monitor the steaks under the broiler. It should only take a few minutes to brown the blue cheese butter crust.
Remove the steaks to a cutting board and let rest a few minutes. Slice and enjoy!
